Louder, please!

Orange Tiny Terror Hard Wired Edition

The cure for obsessive guitar players. I’m not pretending I’m above gear obsession. Does an ebony fretboard really sound “better” than a rosewood one?!  That’s why I love this amp.  Just plug in, adjust the couple of knobs, and get down to business.
I’ve owned this one for a few years now and it’s proved it’s worth to me.  A great amp in my apartment, sounds good at low levels.   Grinds and crunches enough to satisfy.  My only gripe about this amp, are actually solutions to the two most common things I would hear from sound men.  1) “Can you please turn down?” 2)” Can you turn the bass down?”  This amp isn’t as big and bassy as my 100 watters, but who cares?  It handles the frequencies for guitar. Let the bass player cover the low end!

1998 VHT Pitbull Hundred/CL (now Fryette http://www.sfdamp.com/).

This amp has been through a lot of good experiences with me.  Years ago, I had to sell it to a friend to raise rent money.  That friend was nice enough to sell it back to me when I was on my feet again…6 years later!)  Very unique distortion.  Very tight and controlled sounding amp.  Glad to have it back.  Mr. Fryette also makes some of the best damn sealed guitar cabs I’ve ever had the pleasure of plugging into.  Well done sir!

Avid Eleven Rack.

I really cling on to the old ways.  I really want to be that guy who plugs straight into a real amp and rocks the old school analog reality.  Real, REAL, REAL!   But, this thing sounds pretty damn good.  I’ve spent a more than a few weekends micing up every amp I own.  Experimenting to get the best possible sound for recording my demos (that no one ever hears).  Only to easily match or beat the tone in seconds using the Eleven Rack.   But, I do have weird twisted ideas that imperfections are cool.  Like every time you mic up an amp, it sounds a little different.  If everyone used the same modeling, we would all sound the same.  That would  get old pretty fast.  But, still, can’t deny that this unit delivers what it claims.
